Checking A List Twice, Good or Bad

Most of us know about Santa having a list checking it twice making sure we are good or bad as he checks his list of names twice. As the popular Christmas song sings about Santa he sees you when your awake and when your sleeping and knows when you been good and bad. In comparison, God is like Santa and Santa is like God! You really can't have one without the other if you’re a Christian in life.

Christmas is the busy time of year with family gatherings and many different festive events to participate in for those who may need to feel joy in life. It is within the seasons of holidays I experience the greatest loneliness in my life because I have great memories of times spent with love ones like family  who would gather together at gatherings.

Christmas time changed from the days of being a child to being an adult. Being an adult means having to get a job so one can have money to buy things of desire, want and need of day to day living. It is with this responsibility of having a job and earning money that the power it gives the individual of earning the money how he or she spends it. I once heard a great line that coin the phrase, "with great power comes great responsibility." The power of earning money by having a job you work comes with the top most responsibilities of all time, paying BILLS!

Being an adult and seeing most of your money you get go towards bills is very hard and can deplete one's life energy when cost of living is very high and jobs or the amount of work you put into a job doesn’t pay very well. So many people tend to work multiple jobs which takes away from quality of time spent in life from love ones. The once treasured wants of life that can be like gifts Santa bring children on Christmas gets put on the lowest priority behind all the day to day cost of living. Gifts of desire or considered a want and not a need are not much in abundance in adult life since trying to survive and having to budget the practical needs first. Which makes Christmas the magic of giving to others which Santa and God does much  more meaningful. Everyone in life deserves a gift once in a while not just children.

The innocence of childhood evolves into the logic of what adult life reality becomes with more power of being responsible due to working a job and having money. The wants of life shift focus on basic needs of life. It is hard when most money you earn go to bills. Some people may succumb to temptation that takes away the joy of what life is really about and who granted the biggest greatest gift to all of humanity. 

The gift of LOVE is the first gift ever given to a human when GOD created humans in his own image to be similarly just like him. He is a heavenly father of creation according to the Holy Bible. Creating us to live among His creation helping him care for it and each other. Like all great fathers he has his emotions and can seem quite angry at his children when they act out or behave badly. God is like Santa where I imagine he has his list of all who is living and what he has created. He sees all and everyone when they are awake and sleeping. God is that divine being that is all knowing always with us through the art of prayer waiting to listen to us when we turn to him. God so loved all humans the good and the bad that he decided to show his greatest gift of love through a second gift of Jesus Christ to show humans can be just like God in being Christ like. Caring, compassionate, listening, teaching in community with others just as Jesus Christ did in his life we can do too! WWJD, What Would JESUS Do, was a phrase that came up in my teenage years that helped people like myself realize just this and how to be like Jesus Christ. Son of God is Jesus Christ and is God in the human form of what God would be like living a life as a human in creation. So God is very much like Santa as in giving everyone a gift of love not just once but twice God gifted his love to all of humanity with his son, Jesus Christ who died carrying all of humanities earthly sins of creation showing no matter how bad you are in life you still deserve a gift. The gift of love and it’s the ultimate gift of GOD'S LOVE! It's free and available to all of humanity no matter who you are and if your good or bad because God sees all in your awake and sleeping times of life. God is all giving, loves everyone and he can FORGIVE all people when they turn towards him especially in prayer you can be forgiven when coming to our father in heaven even if you might be bad times in your life. God's gift is free to all people and is given to all people!
